The Mines Afire Comprehension #3

This week we have read two parts of the book, The Mines Afire! So far the mine explosion has happened. I won't give away any more!! We had to answer the questions in full sentences, here they are.

  1. Hey Iris, Kyra here! Your Mine's Afire Comprehension activity #3 looks really good and I love your ideas!

How would you feel if you lived in 1896? I would feel really worried and scared for anyone that had to work in the mine and it would make me feel worse if someone got injured working.

Maybe you could just have a look at some of your spelling, there was a couple of typos. Your cover for The Mine's Afire looks great as well and keep up the good work!

    Kyra ;)

    1. Hey Kyra!
      Thank you!!

If I lived in 1896, I would also feel really worried for anyone who was in the mine, I would probably try to get my family to not work in the mine, I would want them to have a safer job, like Tommy's Dad. Working in the carpenters shop would be much safer than working in the actual mine.

I'm not really surprised my spelling was bad - Spell checks my best friend!! Thanks for your comment!!!

I really like the way you have put a lot of information in your blog post and how you have put a lot of detail in your google slide.
What chapter are you up to now in the book ?
Do you like this book ?
    Bye Jazmine

    1. Kia Ora Jazmine,
      Thank you!
I don't know what chapter we are on, but I know that we haven't made it half way yet. I do like this book, it really has some cliff hangers when we have to stop reading!!
      Thanks for your comment!!
