The Mines Afire Diary Entry
For this activity we had to write a diary entry from a character of our choice. I choose a man called Thomas Beaman who has a son that I created called Scott Beaman. Scott has two sisters called Sally and Lucy. I really writing diary entry, this one I wrote is a bit long - like all the writing I do - but I hope you enjoy!

I can't believe how many children were left without a father. It is so sad. Are you looking forward to our trip? I know I am because I like learning outside of the classroom.

I am enjoying the novel it is really good! I could believe so many people were left without sons, brothers, husbands, or fathers either! It would be impossible to imagine that happening to my Dad. How about you? I am looking forward to our trip, it would be interesting to find out more about the Brunner mine site!!
